Trades Copier — Reliable Group Filters and Report History

Group masks now properly limit which source accounts are copied and reported on. Old reports stay faithful to the filters that produced them, even after settings change.

Two improvements to Trades Copier, both focused on showing you exactly what happened — no more guessing what data your reports actually represent.

Group filter now does what it says

If you set a Groups mask on a Trades Copier configuration, only accounts in matching groups are considered — both for live copying and for the Open Trades Reconciliation report it produces.

Previously, on MT4 and MT5 source platforms, the group filter could be silently bypassed for the OTR report when no Logins mask was set alongside it. Now, the filter is honored consistently across MT4, MT5 and MatchTrader sources.

If your reconciliation looked broader than expected before, it should now match exactly the scope you configured.

Reports remember the filters that produced them

When you open an OTR or CTR report generated today, the filter values displayed match what was active at the moment the report ran, not whatever your Trades Copier settings happen to be right now.

A small Snapshot indicator in the header of the report makes this explicit — you can edit your live settings freely without worrying that historical reports will start lying about themselves.

Older reports that pre-date this change show a Live settings indicator with a tooltip explaining that they were generated before filter values were stored alongside results. Their data is still complete and accurate; only the displayed filter context comes from current settings.

Why this matters

Reconciliation reports are evidence. They tell you what was open or closed where, and under what filtering. If the filter context drifts, the evidence becomes ambiguous over time. Now it doesn't.
