Clearer answers when a connection test fails
When a trading platform refuses a connection, Toolbox now explains what happened, whose side it is on, and what to do next.
Testing platform credentials used to end in a short technical line that raised more questions than it answered — and, worse, sometimes suggested trying again when trying again could never help.
Now a failed test opens a proper explanation: what the platform refused, which side the cause is on, and the specific steps that will resolve it. It stays on screen for as long as you need it, and a summary remains next to the form afterwards so you can reopen the full text at any time. Every case includes a details block you can copy straight into a conversation with us or with your platform provider.
Two things worth calling out. When the cause is on our side — for example our connector needs updating for a newer server — we say so plainly rather than sending you to check your own setup. And if we cannot run the check at all, you now see that clearly instead of a success message, so credentials can never be saved on the strength of a test that never ran.
