Bulk Symbol Settings — Data Integrity Fix for MatchTrader
Critical fix: editing a subset of symbols in Bulk Symbol Settings no longer affects unrelated symbols on MatchTrader platforms
We identified and fixed a critical issue affecting MatchTrader platforms when using Bulk Symbol Settings. If you edited or imported changes for a subset of symbols in a group, other symbols in that group could lose their custom configuration and revert to defaults.
What was happening:
- You open Bulk Symbol Settings, export CSV, filter to a few rows in Excel, make changes, and import back
- Or you use the bulk editor to change one parameter across a few symbols
- The symbols you didn't touch could silently lose their settings
What we fixed:
- Bulk edits and CSV imports now preserve all existing symbol settings in the group — only the symbols you explicitly changed are affected
- If any group fails to load during the initial data fetch, the entire operation stops with a clear error message instead of showing partial data
- Improved cache handling to prevent stale data after failed operations
Who is affected:
- Only MatchTrader platforms were affected. MT4 and MT5 platforms use a different update mechanism and were never impacted.
What you should do:
- If you suspect settings were lost, you can verify them in the Bulk Symbol Settings matrix and re-apply as needed
- No action required going forward — the fix is automatic
Your data integrity is our top priority. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
