Deciding who sees Feedback and Quotes Comparer

Both sections now have their own permissions, so you can hand them to the colleagues who need them and leave everyone else a tidier Toolbox.

Two parts of Toolbox could not be handed out selectively until now. Feedback — your tickets and the ideas board — was open to everybody in your workspace, and Quotes Comparer could only be granted through a setting filed under Web API, where nobody thought to look for it.

Both are proper permissions now. Open Settings → Members, pick a colleague, and you will find them in the list alongside everything else:

  • Feedback — one switch: may this person raise tickets with us and take part in the ideas board.
  • Quotes Comparer — two: viewing the comparison, and configuring the sources behind it. Source credentials belong to the second one, so an analyst can watch the comparison all day without ever being able to touch a connection.

Workspace administrators keep full access, as they always have, and nothing needs configuring for them. Colleagues who use these sections today will keep them — we carry their access across, so nobody arrives on Monday to find the support section gone.

A small repair travelled with this: on some workspaces the member actions — managing permissions, changing a role, removing somebody — only appeared for administrators, even where a colleague had been given the right to edit members. They now appear as intended.
